From Logistics to Finance: Welcoming Diana Korolkova to FINCI
A strong foundation in client relations
Before joining FINCI, Diana spent more than three and a half years in the logistics industry, working as an Account Manager and later as a Key Account Manager. Her role placed her at the centre of demanding client relationships, from coordinating shipments and negotiating pricing to ensuring a consistently high level of service.
She worked closely with large FMCG and food sector clients, including major international groups and brands. In an industry where precision, speed, and reliability are non negotiable, Diana was often the main point of contact, balancing commercial expectations with operational realities. This experience shaped her professional mindset early on, with a strong focus on accountability, clear communication, and calm under pressure.
A different path into logistics
Logistics was not Diana’s original career path. Earlier in her career, she worked as a language teacher. When COVID reshaped the job market, she made a deliberate move into a more stable industry, and logistics offered that opportunity.
She joined directly into a senior role that many professionals usually work towards over time. Coming from outside the industry, she approached the position from the client’s perspective rather than a purely operational one. That difference became a strength, allowing her to build trust quickly and deliver service with a strong relationship focus.
Stepping into finance
After several successful years in logistics, Diana felt ready for a new challenge. While she explored further opportunities within transport and maritime logistics, FINCI stood out as something different.
Joining FINCI meant entering a completely new industry and learning how the financial world operates from the inside. Before accepting the role, Diana carefully researched the company and its people. While the level of experience within the team initially felt intimidating, it also gave her confidence that she would be surrounded by professionals she could learn from.
Finding her place at FINCI
The first weeks at FINCI were intense. New systems, regulatory requirements, and a significantly higher volume of documentation required focus and adaptability. At the same time, much of Diana’s previous experience translated naturally. Working with CRM systems felt familiar, and client communication came instinctively.
From the beginning, one principle has guided her work. When speaking to a client, she understands that she represents FINCI, and every interaction reflects the company.
Looking ahead
Now entering her fourth month, Diana sees her journey at FINCI as only just beginning. Each day brings new knowledge and a deeper understanding of the financial industry. What once felt unfamiliar is becoming a solid foundation.
She is motivated to continue developing in her role and contributing to FINCI’s growth. One of her personal ambitions is to represent the company externally at future industry events, sharing knowledge, meeting clients, and strengthening client relationships.
A valuable addition to the team
Diana’s story shows how diverse professional backgrounds can bring real value to a fintech company. Her transition from logistics to finance, combined with a strong client first mindset, makes her a valuable addition to the FINCI team.
We are pleased to have Diana with us and look forward to what comes next.
